I’m Valerie Amador, founder of Placement Helpers and your local Senior Care Advisor serving Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area. Since 2007, I’ve dedicated my career to one purpose: helping seniors and their families find the right senior living and care options — with compassion, clarity, and no cost to you.

With over 20 years of experience in the senior care industry, I’ve had the privilege of guiding countless seniors and families through one of life’s most important decisions — from independent living and assisted living to memory care and in-home support. What drives me is simple: I genuinely love helping people and making meaningful connections during moments that matter most.

My approach is hands-on and personal. I work closely with hospital social workers and discharge planners throughout Southern California to ensure every client finds the right care quickly, confidently, and without the stress of navigating it alone. At Placement Helpers, we’ve built a network of over 15,000 senior living communities — from independent living and assisted living to memory care and residential care homes — along with partnerships with some of the best in-home care providers in the region, ensuring every client has the right care options available to them.

As a member of the National Placement and Referral Alliance (NPRA), I am committed to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in senior placement. I’m also an active voice in the community — speaking at local events and educating families on how to navigate senior care with confidence.
